The full name of Doug Gilmour is Doglas Robert Gilmour. Presently, he is retired professional ice hockey player. He played the particular sport of ice hockey for the Canadian national team. Doug was born on 25th June in the year 1963. After his retirement from the game of ice hockey, he still had certain attachments with the game of ice hockey. Currently, he is the general manager for the team of Kingston Frontenacs. This particular hockey team is the part of Ontario Hockey League or OHL.
In his entire career of ice hockey, Doug particularly played for seven national hockey league clubs. The clubs for which this particular player played are Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks. The name of his third wife is Sonja Gilmour. The names of his sons are Tyson and Jake Gilmour. Both his sons are promising hockey players of the young generation. On 17th of November in the year 2008, Doug Gilmour became the manager of Kingston Frontenacs.
